WhatsApp arrived on desktop with Windows and OS X
The popular instant messaging service WhatsApp is now a native application for desktop systems (systems running at least OS Windows 8 or OS X 10.9). With this announcement, we can say that the services offered by WhatsApp is available on all popular mobile and desktop platforms.
App launched today has a design similar to the web version. Even if it is a standalone application, it requires a phone connected to the Internet that has WhatsApp installed and scanning a QR code to operate. The steps are easy to follow and if you used a Web version of WhatsApp find that the confirmation process is identical.
Once registered the application, all messages are synced on your PC and start using services. The messages are displayed on all devices that have an installed application with its own phone number. The desktop version can become useful and no longer need to use the phone to send messages to friends when you work, even if the latter is required to be connected to the internet during use desktop application.
